Since May 5, 2018, Amsterdam has its own cookie: the Eberhardje. This Amsterdam treat is named after former mayor Eberhard van der Laan. The cookie represents, just like he did, the connection between the residents and visitors of Amsterdam, as well as the love for our beautiful capital city.
When Nico Meijles, owner of Holtkamp Horeca, heard about the idea of the Eberhardjes, he decided to help make this cookie a reality for Amsterdam. To this day, Holtkamp Horeca supports the foundation by working with Amsterdam's entrepreneurs to make doing good easily accessible, serving the Eberhardje in the hospitality sector.
